Help a poor boy on his sabbatical

Starting March 1 my sabbatical gets under way.  The topic (? subject, title, whatever) is “Personal Piety in an Episcopal Context in the 21st Century”.  I’ll wait to discuss the whys and wherefores of it all once I’m underway.

At the moment however I’m asking for a little help.

I could go into this thinking that I have all possible approaches to the subject covered.
That would be stupid.
I try very hard (despite evidence that would indicate the contrary) NOT to be stupid.
So I’m asking you, whether you are Episcopal or not (non-Episcopal responses give me something to compare to plus I’m sure there are ideas that would work within the context) to answer the following questions:

1: What does the phrase “Personal Piety” mean to you?
2: Outside of corporate worship settings what do you do in the way of personal piety?

The answers can be sent to a separate email I’ve established for this project – personalpiety at gmail.com (you know the drill, replace the “at” with @), or just submitted as a comment here.  The answers can be as short or long as you feel called to offer.  I would love to know the when and where and what.  My thanks to Mad Priest at “Of Course I Could Be Wrong” and Grandmere Mimi at “Wounded Bird” for their support as I get started.  If any other bloggers would like to help I would love the support.  You can just link to this post or feel free to copy whatever works for you.

Over the course of the months of March and April I will be sharing my thoughts, questions, answers (?) and ideas in written and video form right here.  I would love to have you walk along with me if the Spirit moves you.

I’m getting excited.
