Just some housekeeping

It suddenly dawned on me that since this is:

• A new blog
• a new blog that has invited a bunch of new visitors
• a new blog that will spend a LOT of time on a single subject for the next two months

some folks might get the wrong idea about it.  This is NOT a blog dedicated to my sabbatical.  It IS my regular, personal blog that covers all the issues and stuff going on in my life.  Anyone is free to read anything posted here.  It is treated as a public forum.  Just in case you were expecting a dedicated sabbatical blog and suddenly get all this other stuff too.

I am fiddling with the layout a little and making some relatively small changes as I try and tune this up to where I want it to be.  I will do that in bursts regularly over the life of the blog.  Comes of having a low boredom threshold.
