Life Among the **Employed May 15

Now comes the hard part.

Not the packing.  Not the finding a new place to live.  Not the deciding what is coming and what we’re letting go.

It’s the saying good bye part.

It’s the “The last time I’ll…” part.

I had a feeling last summer that I wouldn’t be back to our summer camps.  So I tried to cherish every moment while I was there.  Last year was my last Fourth of July parade, my last Soap Box Derby.  My last Autumn in WNY (which are so spectacular) and my last winter there as well (If you can’t say something nice…).

Soon it will be our last time as a member at St. Luke’s.  The last time to eat at a favorite restaurant.

The last time.

Yes, there are all kinds of “first times” coming as well.  They only really begin after the goodbyes.  After the hard part.

I’m ready for my next real job.

Now I know what that will be.

And I’ll keep you up to date on how that goes.

  1. We will surely miss you, my friend. It’s been a long haul, hasn’t it? On a positive note – since I seem to follow you around…..hmmm…Virginia sounds nice!? Who knows… 🙂 Good luck to you and Donna. You are two of the good ones.

    Peace be with you.
