RIP – Glenn Frey

It was not “cool” to like the Eagles, back in the day.

They were corporate rock.  Too produced, too much part of the status quo.  Oh, the list went on and on.

They just made music that was fun to listen to and became iconic for the era.

One of the founding members of the group has reportedly passed away, Glenn Frey.  It’s the latest in a string of wonderful artists that have brought so much to their fans.

Frey wrote a string of great songs both for the Eagles and his solo career.  “Take It Easy”, “Desperado”, “Life In the Fast Lane”, “Lying Eyes”, “Peaceful, Easy Feeling” and many more.

Loved the Eagles then (but then, I was never cool) and I love the Eagles today.
