January 11 and 18 weeks

Podcasts for the weeks of January 11 & 18, 2016

Playing catch up.

For the week of January 11, we look at Super Bowl advertising (an annual favorite of mine), continue to examine the new business models of the digital age (some of which aren’t really all that new) plus discuss the wisdom (or lack thereof) in the decision to re-make “The Rocky Horror Picture Show” as a broadcast network event.

For the week of January 18 we jumped into the movies scheduled for release from now through mid-summer and were not overly impressed.  Follow that up with some suggestions to bring the State of the Union Address out of the 20th Century into the 21st and finally discuss what is really being lost by the closing of Al Jazeera America.

The View From the Phlipside podcast includes all three programs for the week listed.  All materials and opinions are exclusively those of the producer.

The View From the Phlipside currently airs on WRFA-LP in Jamestown, NY.  Listen around 7:30 each morning, Monday through Friday.
