Quick Reviews – Legend, Creed, Allegiant

(Some quick looks are more recent movies)

Legend  (2015) – Based on the real-life mobster brothers of London’s 1960’s.  The Krays may not be as well known in the U.S. but they were legends in England.  Violent and unpredictable, they scorched across the world of English crime.  The movie is OK, with Tom Hardy doing a creditable job as the Kray twins.  The story drags in too many places.  But fans of gangster movies should probably take a look.

Rating – *** Worth A Look

Creed (2015) – Rocky trains Apollo Creed’s son as they both look for an understanding of their worlds. A fine addition to the story of the Italian Stallion.  Stallone has found a whole new level of the character as age chips away.

Divergent – Allegiant (2016) The ponderous, predictable and really rather boring third installment of a series that started to lose in the previous movie.  If you’re into the franchise it’s probably fine.
