And We're Back

Well, I had to pick a date to get rolling again.  While my mind is not always a very tidy place, there are some things that require some, let’s call it symmetry.  So there was no way I was going to start in the middle of a month.  The beginning of new months is a good place to start over again.

The first thing you may notice is a change in the background.   The other one served the site well, but it felt like it was time to move on there as well.  Background images can be dicey.  Let’s see how this one does.  Credit to for the photo.

That’s a small “behind the scenes” touch I’m working on.  I have not always been as careful about crediting sources for images as I might be.  That is set to change.  The goal will be to use photos and graphics properly and with appropriate sources.  A small thing, but an important one, I think.

As promised, the movie reviews are back.  Not many changes there.  I love movies.  My hope is to inspire folks to expand the catalog of movies they watch by sharing that love.  Each one is written from a movie fan’s point of view.  A (very) brief description of the action,  followed by the director and leading actors.  The “Why I Liked It” one-line review moves to the top of the post.  While the rest of the review is pretty short, they average around 500 words, not everyone is up for it.  So for those who just want an idea if they will like the movie, I try to oblige.

For the final rating.  I still use the five-star system. a one star is a” don’t waste your time”, up to the five star “shouldn’t be missed”.

I am still working on the other items I discussed last month.  Plus I have a couple of media topics that I’ll explore this month.  Those will be on a catch as catch can basis moving forward.  I’m excited about the ideas, but they have taken a little longer to get started than expected.
