Well, That Escalated Quickly

So I just realized, and I mean JUST realized, that this blog has gone quiet for over a month.

Wow.

That was so NOT the plan. The malaise I wrote about in my last post in July has been an ongoing struggle here. As I cruise around my social media groups, I discover I’m not alone in this. Not having the expertise to diagnose the cause, I will stick to recognizing the obvious.

Yeah. In my own world, things are ramping back up. I work as a substitute teacher, and school begins tomorrow. I even have an assignment to start the year! But it’s putting the little train of my life, which was derailed so thoroughly 18 months ago, back on its track that’s he challenge. You know, that “back to normal” that we’ve been hoping to arrive. It feels weird. The abnormal of the pandemic has become the new normal. So another change has to take place. And that’s thrown everything back into a pile.

The good news is that it feels like I’m coming out of it. I’ve written a little, I’ve painted a little (watercolors, my “pandemic” life hack). My exercise routine on my bike has struggled. The week of heavy rains haven’t helped here either.

So let me leave you with this. I am working on coming back with a bang. By mid-September I hope to be back not only to my previous level (which was a little sad, let’s be honest) but to have several new things lined up. I’ve promised this before, but I’m making real progress. Slow progress, but progress.

Hmm, vague promises without deadlines are a cop out. Let’s do this. This blog will be back to AT LEAST its previous standard by September 15. And I will introduce at least one new addition by the end of September. That’s a promise, something I have “spoken into reality” which is an important step for me. I’ll probably write about that in the future.

I’ll focus on the “Life Creative”. I’ll be writing about that idea as well. I’ll be sharing some of what I’m creating with you. I would LOVE for you to share some of the same with me.
