A Doomscrolling Substitute

This is the last post of 2024 on this blog. My tradition over many years (and several blogs) is to take one week off. It’s always the last week of the year. A chance for me to sit back, look at the past and the future. Also, a chance to not worry about any of this. No pressure to make sure I’m caught up, that I have something ready to post on some particular day.

All of that will return after January 1. And maybe that podcast…? I’ve made the promise too many times to do it again, but it is on my mind. It’s never far away from my thoughts. So, maybe.

In the meantime, and with most folks having a bit more free time over the next two weeks, to remind you of my catalog of movie and book recommendations. The movie list is over (blank) reviews now, and the books are at (blank2)! Not scholarly or deep, but the kind of recommendation you’d get from a friend if you asked them to name a good one to try. You’ll find the complete list of each at the links below. Just scroll on through till you see something that looks interesting.
