Something New

You may have noticed that things are a little different around here.

I was never completely happy with the old design. It was intended to be a place holder, which then turned into the de facto design for quite some time.

 Well, there’s nothing quite like a very long weekend to get some “back burner” projects up and running. What you see is the result of that time. Hope you like it as much as I do.

A word for anyone who checked in on the blog yesterday. It must have been very amusing to watch, as design after design was loaded, looked at and then dumped. The whole project probably took me most of the afternoon. That includes the point where I had most of the changes I wanted all set, only to have all of them disappear after I had THOUGHT I’d saved them.  The only thing more aggravating than reading through line after line of code trying to find the one thing you’re trying to change is finally making that change only to have your computer, the interwebs (or you own incompetence) make them disappear.

You will note that in addition to the new format, we have a new logo as well.  I’m mostly satisfied with that as well.  I will probably do some additional fiddling with the design.  The “icicles” are actually descending lines of binary code but they’re not reading as clearly as I’d like.

Any thoughts you have on the new design are very much appreciated.

Oh, and by the by, the radio version (and associated podcast) of “The View From the Phlipside” will be returning in the next ten days or so.  I’m very excited about returning to my roots.  My deepest thanks to my friends at WRFA for welcoming me back.
