A week like this was inevitable.
The weather and my schedule put the 150 in serious jeopardy. If I get out and get busy tomorrow, I think I can salvage it. But there was way too much off discipline eating. We had two celebrations and I lost the discipline thread both times. Both could have been much worse (and would have been in the past) but still. Not good.
The damage is small, and I’m encouraged by that. As always, it’s a matter of just resetting and starting again.
This is a tough time of year. I have another Christmas party a week from today, then the time around the two holidays still to come at the end of the year. I was talking with the Lady in My Life about reducing the amount of candy in my stocking (so sad). I also need to be aware of when I give myself those little extra treats.
I am looking at a more efficient way to track carbohydrates in the new year. I will still count them but with the Glycemic load in mind. Something new to help me focus.
In the meantime, here’s something silly but also important. It talks about the importance of not making the weight loss process such an utter misery. Be smart about how you “treat” yourself and you will see much more success.
