Another Month Rolls By…

And there has been nothing going on here.

Well, maybe not HERE, but behind the scenes there is plenty happening.  Some things needed to change on this side of the screen, and I’ve been working hard at getting that done.  The target is now for late July or the beginning of August to jump back on the gerbil wheel and get started.

Here’s what’s being worked on right now:

• The return of the movie reviews.  This is something I’m passionate about.  I want to be a resource for people trying to expand their movie going experience beyond what’s in the theaters.  There’s over 100 years of movies out there.  Some are great, some are awful.  I’ll take them all on. 
• “Theme” posts – I’m looking at widening how I look at the movies.  These will be matched up with a holiday, or a season or a theme.  Probably once a month.
• “Movies For Your Weekend” podcast – Recommendations of 3-5 movies a week.  Feel like watching a movie, but don’t know what to watch?  I’ll offer a spectrum of choices from classics to modern, across genres and a few of my favorite indie/small movies thrown in as well.  
• The View From The Phlipside podcast – Separate from the above but a bit of a return to my media commentaries of old.  This will take the longest to spin up to speed.  Looking at launching it later in the year.  It’s a project that will take a major commitment of time and I’m still weighing if it’s worth it.  Then a new story pops up and I think, “Man, I’d love to take a shot at that!”  No promises, but a possibility.

Beyond that I’m going to let the blog develop it’s own “thing”.  Maybe I just make it all about my love of movies and go with that.  Don’t know.  Still thinking.
